Nordconnect presents: The Frisian Writers’ Week exclusive during EuroSonic Noorderslag
We’ve selected six musicians and invited them to spend a week in Studio Spitsbergen to surprise us with the result of this spontaneous musical collaboration. In short this is the concept behind the second edition of Nordconnect presents: the Frisian Writers’ Week. Creating music with a strict deadline! Within five days the participant will have to write enough new songs for a live concert planned on EuroSonic Noorderslag.
On Saturday the 10th of January participants Marching Band (SE), Bodi Bill (D), Declan de Barra (IE) and Klaske Oenema (NL) will stay for five days in Studio Spitsbergen. This studio, somewhere in the far North of the Netherlands, is located in a traditional farmhouse and is packed with the latest technology and instruments. The participants will compose, rehearse and record new songs with our two producers Jan Tekstra and Bauke van der Laaken. This is a unique possibility for the participant to intensively work together with new European musical talent and broaden their creativity. They even have an international stage with the EuroSonic festival as host of the project.

Thursday January 15th at EuroSonic at the Shadrak Venue from 01:15 until 02:00
Friday January 16th from 16:15 until 17:00 in the ICO venue in Assen
